Manhattan Is My Home Turf
Manhattan is where the majority of New York's broadcast and production work happens, and it's where I've spent most of my career. I've mixed sound at 30 Rockefeller Plaza for Saturday Night Live and NBC Nightly News, at the ABC studios on West 66th Street for Nightline and Good Morning America, and at CBS Broadcast Center on West 57th for 60 Minutes and CBS Evening News.
Beyond the network studios, I regularly work in Manhattan's corporate corridors: financial district boardrooms, Midtown agency offices, Hudson Yards event spaces, and SoHo production studios. I understand the acoustic challenges unique to Manhattan, from the rumble of subway lines beneath interview locations to the sirens on Sixth Avenue and the HVAC systems in older commercial buildings.
I reach most Manhattan locations in 30 to 45 minutes from my base in northern New Jersey via the Lincoln Tunnel or GWB. I know which parking garages near common shoot locations have clearance for a full sound cart, and I carry a Manhattan-ready EZ Pass for bridge and tunnel tolls so there are never billing surprises.
